Effective Sunday, July 12, 2020, Mt. Calvary Holy Church of Deliverance, physically reopened its doors for 11:30 a.m. in-sanctuary worship service.
According to Mayor Bowser’s Press Release dated Friday, June 19, 2020, the District of Columbia moved into Phase 2 reopening effective Monday, June 22, 2020. Phase 2 reopening encourages Houses of Worship to continue to offer online services. However, in-Sanctuary services of up to 50 percent (50%) of the capacity of the space where the service is occurring or one hundred (100) persons, whichever is fewer, is permitted.
Prior to the Phase 2 reopening as well as now, I have prayed and I continue to seek the Lord for His guidance and I also asked you to join me in prayer. The Lord has allowed me to know that it is now time for us to come back into the House of the Lord. Therefore, I asked that you please join me for 11:30 a.m. in-Sanctuary services on Sundays at Mt. Calvary.
As you come into the lobby area of the Church, I ask that you please adhere to the detail guidance that will be given to you concerning seating in the Sanctuary. You are asked to continue the practice of good citizenship to include social distancing, washing hands often, wearing gloves, and masks. A face shield will also be provided to you upon your arrival to the Church. The Church has been professionally cleaned and sanitized. The on-site Church cleaning staff is asked to exercise due diligence in ensuring that the Sanctuary and other facilities of the Church remain appropriately sanitized throughout the day on Sundays, as well as on a weekly basis. Also, passing or sharing of items are discouraged. Remember, if you feel ill, please stay at home.
